Discover Uganda’s extraordinary primates on a 5-day safari combining chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park with mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Explore lush tropical forests, encounter remarkable wildlife, and experience Uganda’s rich natural heritage.
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet your driver-guide, and transfer to your hotel. Receive a safari briefing and relax before the journey to western Uganda.
Depart early and drive to Kibale Forest National Park through Uganda’s scenic countryside. Arrive in the afternoon, check in, and prepare for chimpanzee tracking the following morning.
Start with a morning chimpanzee-tracking experience in Kibale Forest, subject to permit confirmation. After the activity, travel toward the preselected gorilla trekking sector in Bwindi. This is a demanding travel day, so an early tracking slot and carefully coordinated transport are essential.
Attend the park briefing and embark on a guided mountain gorilla trekking experience. Spend the permitted observation time with a habituated gorilla family, subject to permit confirmation. Return to your lodge to relax after the trek.
Travel back toward Entebbe. Because this is a long road journey, an international flight on the same day should only be arranged after confirming realistic transfer times. An extra night in Entebbe is recommended when flight schedules do not allow a comfortable connection.
